The Caribbean Center for the Arts invites you to attend the Art St. Croix Festival & Spring Jazz Fundraiser located in downtown Frederiksted. The forthcoming Jazz Fundraiser Concert is set to feature a mini-preview of an upcoming half-hour performance, presented by Sayeeda Carter, the drama teacher at Educational Complex high school, and Tai Allen, the Artist-in-Residence at CMCArts. This performance will involve students from SCECHS and St. Croix Central High School, and serves as a testament to Carter’s founding of ACT OUT ENSEMBLE: Theater of the Oppressed Virgin Islands. The concert itself promises to be a treat for music enthusiasts, with three individual performances lined up from p.m. until p.m. The musical segment between – p.m., featuring Jeff Dawson on the piano, Mario Thomas on bass, Afra Daily on drums, and Pikey Copemann on tenor sax, will showcase jazz standards to kickstart the evening’s entertainment.
