The dangers of desecration: why this act is so punished

Today, a vigilante mob stormed a police station in a New Karachi area to punish a young woman booked and arrested for her alleged involvement in desecration of Holy Quran.

The mob was not satisfied with the legal course of action and wanted to punish the suspect by themselves.

This is a clear violation of the law and order and it is very disappointing to see such lawlessness in our society.

I appeal to everyone to maintain peace and to respect the rule of law. Taking the law into our own hands is not the solution and it will only lead to more chaos and violence.
